Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden presents Oktoberfest Celebrations
Rainey Street brew hub Banger’s Sausage House & Beer Garden hosts its annual Oktoberfest — three consecutive days of cold sips and German-inspired festivities. Highlights include an opening gun salute, hammerschlagen, a bratwurst-eating competition, live German-inspired music, and much more. Guests are encouraged to compete in the games for a chance to win a trophy, beer, and free swag. In addition to the interactive elements, Banger’s will also feature a special menu of spaetzle, weisswurst, schnitzel sausage, and other authentic eats.

Neal Brennan brings his stand up comedy routine to Stateside at the Paramount. The three-time Emmy nominated writer, producer, and humorist is best known as a writer on The Daily Show with Trevor Noah and as co-creator of legendary Comedy Central hit, Chappelle’s Show. Select tickets for his October 18 and October 21 performances are still available.

2018 Formula 1 United States Grand Prix
The high-octane 2018 Formula 1 United States Grand Prix returns to the Circuit of the Americas. The three-day event features top-speed car racing and a full roster of live post-race entertainment featuring headlining performances by Bruno Mars and Britney Spears. Ballet Austin presents The Ugly Duckling
The timeless Hans Christian children’s tale comes to life by way of Ballet Austin II dancers at the AustinVentures StudioTheater. The whimsical, hour-long performance features movement by acclaimed choreographer Jimmy Orrante and will awaken the child in every audience member. This production is most suitable for kids age 3-10. Performances through October 28.
The Contemporary Austin presents Camp Contemporary
It's summer camp with a grown-up twist at Camp Contemporary. During this fundraiser, the museum's Laguna Gloria campus will be transformed into a summer camp for adults complete with craft cocktails and camp-inspired fare. Additional highlights include artist-led workshops, campfires, star-gazing, and more. Walker Lukens, Mobley, SMiiLE, and Lolita Lynne will perform live.
