Raise a glass to Total Wine & More: The popular booze mega-store opens the doors to its second Austin-area location this week. On Thursday, September 17, Total Wine & More's Lakeline Plaza location will open, marking its 10th spot in Texas.
The North Austin booze haven is even larger than its Sunset Valley counterpart, which opened in May. At 31,000 square feet, the new store houses thousands of varieties from "America's largest independent retailer of fine wine, spirits, and beer."
"Providing the best selection and prices, while creating a one-of-a-kind shopping experience for the customer, is our number-one priority," co-owner David Trone said in a release, describing the store's interior design features as "customer-centric in every way."
Multiple iPads will be available to help patrons find the perfect wine to pair with a meal (you can also download the app for your own device). The store also features spaces for beverage tastings and classes.
Total Wine & More is owned by brothers David and Robert Trone, who began expanding the chain on the East Coast in the early 1990s. The beverage giant rivals other big-name Texas-based chains like Spec's and Twin Liquors, but positions itself as a destination shopping experience.
