Baby Greens Is Back
Local favorite for fast, healthy food makes a comeback with new North Austin location
After a six-year absence, Baby Greens is set to start dishing up healthy meals once again. The homegrown salad concept will open a drive-thru on Anderson Lane in 2016.
"I am so excited to bring back Baby Greens to Austin. We are proud to be the original creators of the healthy fast-food restaurant concept and are looking forward to continue innovating and growing with the local community," owner Sharon Mays said in a release.
"Now more than ever, consumers care about what they eat and are looking for fresh and fast meal options at an affordable price. We are proud to offer convenient, healthy, and delicious options for eaters-on-the-go, and we hope to continue to be the favorite," Mays continued.
You may remember Baby Greens from its original South First Street drive-thru, which opened in 2004. Baby Greens grew to two other locations, but the Austin-based chain shuttered in 2009. The new location will resurrect Baby Greens' signature fare, including salads, wraps, and other veggie-based meals at a reasonable price point.
The Anderson Lane restaurant is scheduled to open in winter 2016. The new location will feature two drive-thru lanes, a walk-up order window, and exciting new offerings.
