Despite the unseasonably cold late-April weather (45 degrees?!), Austin wasn't about to miss the rare opportunity to don impeccably preppy attire for Tribeza's annual Lawn Party at the French Legation Museum.
Austin is a town known for it's laid-back tattoo-riddled fashion, but an outsider peeking in might've guessed they were looking at a scene straight out of Nantucket. Female models with fishtail braids and their males counterparts with perfectly-parted coiffes casually walked around the party, dressed in looks from popular local boutiques Beehive, Billy Reid, By George, Kick Pleat, Sam Hill, STAG and Valentine's Too.
Party-goers played croquet, sipped complimentary Deep Eddy drinks, snacked on colorful cotton candy and lounged on the French Legation's expansive steps and sprawling lawn, creating a rather serene atmosphere straight through dusk.
If the chatter throughout the night could be distilled down to one hopeful sentence, it might be something along the lines of, "If the temperature is this chilly now, maybe the summer won't be so bad...?"
