Ketchup Sketch-Up
Whataburger taps Austin artist to paint fan portraits using famous Fancy Ketchup
In honor of the 30th anniversary of Whatburger's beloved single-serve Fancy Ketchup, the Texas chain is creating fan portraits painted with the famous condiment.
On Friday, an Austin-based artist will paint portraits of Whata-fans who share pictures on Twitter by tagging "@Whataburger" and using the hashtag "#fancySKETCHUP."
"Our fans' love for Whataburger Fancy Ketchup is pretty amazing, so we wanted to do something really fun to celebrate the 30th anniversary of our ketchup cups," Whataburger Vice President of Communications Pam Cox said in a press release.
The birth of these Fancy Ketchup containers dates back to 1985, when Whataburger wanted to deliver the ketchup with more dipping convenience. The ketchup, which has garnered a cult-like following over the years, is also available for purchase at H-E-B.
To join in on the fun, tweet your photo to Whataburger on Friday, February 13 for your own ketchup creation.
