The details make this couple's romantic Hill Country wedding extra special
When Jimmy and Sonya Wang met in 2012 through a mutual friend, they were both busy — she in nursing school, he in medical school. But that didn’t stop the two from spending hours together on their first date. “We hit it off instantly,” explains Jimmy, who says they spent that entire first date laughing and bonding over their shared experiences growing up in China.
The rest, as they say, is history. Jimmy and Sonya wed on May 1, 2016, at the Terrace Club in Dripping Springs in front of a crowd of 130 guests. Even though the days leading up to the wedding were stormy, the sun was shining for Jimmy and Sonya's ceremony, giving guests the opportunity to take in the beautiful Hill Country background.
“I would say our wedding style was romantic/contemporary,” says the bride, who chose a blush and gold color scheme and walked down the aisle with a bouquet created by Jimmy’s mother.
For Sonya, it’s hard to pick one perfect moment from the wedding. “Every single moment was so precious and memorable,” from the first look to the joyous reception where guests celebrated by dancing to tunes from Austin DJ Toast Entertainment before sending the bride and groom off with a sparkler exit.
