A simple affair
Ridiculously rich San Antonio family throws yet another $4 million birthday bash
Los Henrys are at it again. Just a few months after son ThomasĀ Henry's $4 million birthday bash went viral, patriarch/attorney Thomas J. Henry threw his own $4.5 million party on April 6 to celebrate the always important 56th birthday.
The San Antonio-based family headed to Miami for the occasion and welcomed guests like AustinĀ Mahone; GustavoĀ YacamĆ”n; Alec Monopoly; NickyĀ Jam; JonathanĀ Cheban; and DJĀ Khaled, who took time from yelling "DJ Khaled!" on other people's albums to make an appearance. And if that wasn't enough, the after party at Club E11even (yup, that's how they spell numbers in Miami) doubled as an album release for CardiĀ B.
The unofficial theme of the night was fire, with event space PalmĀ Island packed with fire dancers and a live fireworks show. At the end of the evening, the elder Henry was gifted with a PatekĀ Phillipe watch. (Without even knowing what kind of watch it is, I can safely say it is still worth more than my car.)
If you find yourself at this point in the recap wondering who the Henrys are, it's okay. The very wealthy Texas family has a YouTube show called Hanging with Los Henrys. The daughter, Maya, is an aspiring model/actress/lifestyle brand a la the Hadids or Jenners. The son, Thomas Henry Jr., doesn't seem to do much, but he's been featured on the YouTube show partying with his friends in Mexico and he seemed good at that, so ... there you go.
Back to the party. The family wore, like, every possible designer including Dolce & Gabana and Alexander Wang and Zilli and Gucci. James Beard Award-winning chef MichaelĀ Schwartz personally catered the affair while DJĀ Ruckus performed behind a giant party sign that read "Happy Birthday, Tom" which would be charming until you realize this party costs more than 4 million dollars.
At the end of the party, they all got onto a chartered 100-foot yacht and sailed into the night.
