The full list of downtown Austin street closures on Labor Day
Labor Day means the TriRock Triathlon will be taking over the streets of downtown Austin. Competitors will be biking around downtown, swimming across Lady Bird Lake, and finishing up the final leg by racing through Auditorium Shores.
Unless you're planning on being a spectator, here's the list of scheduled street closures to expect on Monday, September 7.
Closures in effect from 4 am to 3 pm:
Riverside Drive between Lamar Boulevard and South First Street
South First Street between Barton Springs Road and Cesar Chavez Street
Lee Barton Drive between Barton Springs Road and Riverside Drive
Closures in effect from 4 am to 1 pm:
West Cesar Chavez Street between Congress Avenue and MoPac Boulevard
Stephen F. Austin Drive between Cesar Chavez Street and Atlanta Street
Atlanta Street between Stephen F. Austin Drive and Lake Austin Boulevard
Congress Avenue between Cesar Chavez Street and 11th Street
Congress Avenue between Riverside Drive and Cesar Chavez Street*
*Lanes on Cesar Chavez Street will be reduced to one lane in each direction. Northbound traffic will have to turn east onto East Cesar Chavez Street.
