Join new Emmy-Winner Kyle Chandler as he emcees an evening of live country music to benefit the areas devastated by the recent wildfires in Central Texas. George Strait, the Dixie Chicks, Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett, Asleep at the Wheel and special guests Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani, Christopher Cross and more will all perform.

The Center for American Architecture and Design and The Butler School of Music’s competition kicks off, combining unique composition techniques and both physical and sonic materials.
Bask in a bevy of things themed all hallow’s eve, at this special live event. Indulge in some crafty concoctions, get your Tarot Cards read, and channel your inner “Walking Dead” at the Zombiefication station.
Thursday, October 20
For the aesthetically curious, this Austin x Design event is collaboration between Apartment Therapy, Threshold Furniture and, yours truly, CultureMap, honoring stellar modern architecture and design. Attend and enter to win a variety of cool giveaways from Apartment Therapy and Threshold.
Head to The Blanton’s monthly event for the art-lover on a budget. The café offers an extended happy hour, so enjoy a glass of wine and a gourmet slice for only $5. If you’re looking for something a little more… stimulating, enjoy a Yoga class, or partake in the museum’s monthly book club.
Don’t get too excited, indie music fans. This isn’t a performance by the New Jersey rock band, but the bloody Shakespearean tragedy from which they got their name. Set in the lovely CTC Stone Garden, and featuring some of Austin’s finest talent, this is Shakespeare with an Austin spin.

Members of A Tribe Called Quest join forces with Adam Rapp of Sports Rapp Live, to present an epic night of music from the deep and dirty south. Headliners include RJD2, Lupe Fiasco, and Milkman.
