Hilton Austin is giving away a $15K dream wedding — here's how to win

Your dream wedding could turn into a reality, thanks to Hilton Austin. To celebrate its new events venue, The Reverbery, the downtown hotel is holding a "win a wedding" contest, and the grand prize is a $15,000 wedding in the cool space.

Designed to mimic a recording studio, with midcentury modern furniture, industrial design, and low ceilings, the 3,497-square-foot space is the alter-ego of a ballroom. Its name, The Reverbery, is based on the music term reverberation, which means a re-echoed sound.

But let's get down to it: How do you win? The hotel is looking for "effortlessly cool couples" to submit their entries (including a video) here by November 26, 2017. Then from November 27-December 3, 2017, a panel of judges will narrow down the pool before public voting via Facebook begins on December 4. That's when the contestants should kick it into high gear, because on February 4, 2018, only six finalists will make it to the next round of Facebook voting. On Valentine's Day, the winner and two runners-up will be announced.

"We are so excited to offer such a cool and different venue for events in Austin," says Allen Alderman, the hotel's director of sales and marketing. "This contest will give a deserving couple the chance to experience their special day in a very special space here at Hilton Austin. Good luck!"

The grand prize winners will receive a complete wedding package valued at $15,000, including dinner reception for up to 75 guests; four hours of a beer, wine, and soft drinks bar; deluxe overnight accommodations for the couple with valet parking and high-speed internet; a welcome amenity; $1,000 credit from premiere events; a three-hour Austin Stuart Photography package; a wedding officiant package from Christel Stuart (which includes the rehearsal); a DJ; cake pop favors from Sugar Mommy’s; and everything flora from Lemon Leaf (the bridal bouquet, two bridesmaids bouquets, three boutonnieres, the head table runner, and garland or a colossal centerpiece are all included).

Though the second runner-up might not win a wedding, they'll still win a great consolation prize: tacos. Invite up to 20 guests to celebrate your future together at Austin Taco Project, where you'll enjoy a menu featuring up to four appetizer selections, tacos, fun desserts created by Chef Kevin Spencer, and up to two alcoholic beverages per person. The overall prize value is $1,200.

The third-place winners can toast their union with a fun mixology session for up to 10 guests in Cannon + Belle, complete with small bites custom-made by Chef Yesica Arredondo, all valued at $600.

Real love is rare, but an all-expenses-paid wedding is even rarer — so get started on that entry.
