ACL Weekend One
Everything you need to know before you go to ACL Fest 2022
It's that time of year again: The 2022 Austin City Limits Music Festival will be held October 7-9 and October 14-16 at Zilker Park.
Before you head out to the fest, there's a lot of information you'll want to brush up on. Below, KVUE has broken down the answers to some frequently asked questions about ACL Fest.
Who's playing and where?
On both Fridays, the top-billed artists will be The Chicks, SZA, Nathanial Rateliff & the Night Sweats and Billy Strings. Carly Rae Jepsen will play only on the Friday of Weekend 1, and Phoenix will play only on the Friday of Weekend 2.
P!nk, Flume, Lil Nas X, and Diplo will be top-billed on both Saturdays, while Death Cab for Cutie will play only on Saturday of Weekend 2. And the Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kacey Musgraves, Paramore and Zhu will be top-billed on both Sundays, while Lil Durk will play on only the Sunday of Weekend 1. Learn more about the daily schedules.

What's the weather going to be like?
A weak cold front is expected to bring seasonable weather for weekend one of the festival.
The current forecast for Friday calls for afternoon high temperatures in the upper 80s to lower 90s with partly cloudy conditions. We'll be monitoring the possibility of a weak cold front moving through Central Texas either late Friday or early Saturday.
This front will bring the return of seasonable temperatures with afternoon highs in the lower 90s to upper 80s on both Saturday and Sunday. Drier air behind the front will lead to pleasant evening conditions each day of the event.
How to get to ACL Fest
There are many ways to get to the festival, but there will be no parking at Zilker Park or the surrounding neighborhoods. Pavemint has partnered with ACL Fest to help assist attendees with parking.
Take a shuttle
There are free shuttles that you can board at Republic Square Park at the corner of Fourth and San Antonio streets that will drop you off outside the Barton Springs West Festival Entrance. When you're ready to leave, you can hop back on for a return trip in the same spot. Shuttles run from Republic Square starting at noon on Friday and starting at 11 am on Saturday and Sunday of each weekend.
Bike or take the bus
Bike parking is available on Stratford Drive after crossing the MoPac Pedestrian Bridge. Additional bike and scooter parking will be located on Toomey Road at Sterzing Street and on Azie Morton Road. MetroBike staff will also host a MetroBike valet at their Barton Springs Road and Sterzing Street station, guaranteeing users a place to dock their MetroBike.
Capital Metro offers serval bus routes that operate frequently near Zilker Park. Check out the MetroRapid Route 803 or other options.
Take a rideshare
You can also take a rideshare to the festival. When you're getting ready to go to the fest, type "Austin City Limits Music Festival" or "Zilker Park" into the app as your destination. This will update your drop-off to the nearest drop-off point around the festival.
In order to request a ride to leave the festival, you must first exit the fest and walk away from Zilker Park to get outside of the restricted area. You will be able to request a ride as normal once you've crossed Lady Bird Lake, South Lamar Boulevard or the MoPac frontage road.
