Flow temporarily restored at popular Central Texas swimming hole
Flow has been restored to a popular Central Texas swimming hole – at least temporarily.
Hays County Parks said Thursday that recent rainfall has temporarily restored flow to Jacob's Well. But the department said it's too soon to know how things will look by summer.
"We like to stay optimistic here at the Hays County Parks Department, however, we cannot say for certain yet whether we will see the full return of 'normal' flows at Jacob's Well this summer," the department said in a Facebook post.
KVUE reported last August that Jacob's Well had dropped down to zero flow for only the sixth time in its history. No swimming has been allowed at Jacob's Well since August 2022, due to low water levels.
