Austin Foodies Needed
Local foodies wanted for popular Food Network show filming in Austin
A popular Food Network reality program is heading to Austin, and it's looking for Austin foodies with a particular skill set.
Restaurant: Impossible targets eateries across the U.S. that are in need of a serious menu, space, or attitude makeover. This week, host Robert Irvine is bringing his tough love to an undisclosed North Austin establishment.
To assist with the restaurant's impending transformation, Restaurant: Impossible is looking for Austinites that can help with the renovation. Duties include painting, construction, remodeling, cleaning, decorating, and more. "Skilled contractors are always an added bonus," reads the post.
Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older and willing to be on camera. Filming will take place on Thursday, February 18, and Friday, February 19. Shifts are unpaid, but meals will be provided.
The deadline to apply is Tuesday, February 16, so foodies — and Food Network junkies — better move fast. More information is available here.
