Present Company presents An Adult Evening of Shel Silverstein
The Museum of Human Achievement hosts a wildly mischievous series for adults only. This theatrical experience is inspired by the beloved childhood storyteller's raunchier works. Enjoy Silverstein's music, short plays, and poetry like never before — just leave the kiddos at home. Performances through May 21.
Rancho Alegre Conjunto Festival
Texas accordion music is on repeat at Rancho Alegre Conjunto Festival. The three-day showcase features performances by more than 20 different groups from across the state. Additional highlights include the Austin round of Tejano Idol, local food, vendors, and a performance by festival headliner, Flaco Jimenez. Performances through May 6.
The Long Center presents An Evening with George Takei
Actor George Takei comes to the Long Center for the Performing Arts to share his journey from adversity to stardom. Known for his iconic role as Star Trek’s Hikaru Sulu, Takei will discuss his most intimate experiences including stories from his childhood spent in a Japanese internment camp during WWII. Prepare to be inspired, moved, and entertained by one of Hollywood’s most powerful voices.
Texas Monthly Live!
Texas Monthly takes a cue from the delightful Pop-Up Magazine and "performs" an issue at the first-ever Texas Monthly Live! The 90-minute editorial performance at the Paramount Theatre will see some of the magazine's award winning journalists tell their stories along with music and video accompaniment. JMBLYA 2018
The biggest names in hip-hop join forces at Austin360 Amphitheater at Circuit of The Americas for another annual installment of one-day megafest, JMBLYA. This year’s roster features top artists including J. Cole, Young Thug, Migos, Playboi Carti, and others for what is sure to be a series of blowout performances. Select tickets still available.
