Whether you love — or love to hate — Bachelor-style dating competitions, chances are you’d be more inclined to watch if the show centered on infectiously energetic comic Ken Marino. (What if it was hosted by Michael Ian Black? And featured a perennially pants-less Natasha Leggero?) Burning Love, a new web series from Yahoo Screen, promises all that and more, in eight-minute episodes they’ll be releasing twice a week starting today.

The show follows volunteer firefighter Mark Orlando (Marino) as he tries to find true love among 16 seriously crazy contestants.

While today marks the series’ official premiere, Austinites have been lucky enough to get not one but two sneak peeks at the show, at last month’s Wainy Days marathon, and this past weekend’s ATX TV Fest, where Marino previewed a few episodes.

The lineup of ladies competing for love is a roster of some of the funniest in the business.

Burning Love is written by Erica Oyama, who has also penned episodes of Childrens Hospital and Wainy Days (she’s also, incidentally, married to Marino).

The lineup of ladies competing for love is a roster of some of the funniest in the business — like Janet Varney, host of The JV Club podcast and TBS’ Dinner and a Movie, as well as co-founder of the hugely influential SF Sketchfest; June Diane Raphael, an improviser and co-host of podcast How Did This Get Made, also currently starring on NTSF:SD:SUV; Natasha Leggero, who’s stand-up is as brilliant as her roles on Ugly Americans, Free Agents and Are You There, Chelsea?; Malin Ackerman of Childrens Hospital; comedy’s biggest sweetheart Kristen Bell and more. (Oh, also, Ken Jeong makes a cameo as the “exotic” Ballerina.)

Burning Love also promises appearances from comics like Matt Besser, Sean Conroy, Brian Huskey, Paul Scheer, Adam Scott and more.

Learn more about Mark Orlando and meet all the girls — and definitely follow @burninglovemark.
