AtxGALS presents Summer Art Party with TOMS
A unique art pop-up is heading to the TOMS store on South Congress. Hosted by AtxGALS, the Summer Art Party showcases some of the city’s most promising rising artists. Kick off the weekend while sipping seasonal craft cocktails, grooving out to mood music, and finding a perfect new piece of art.
Mistress of Musicality Productions presents The Purple Party: A Tribute to Prince
The legendary Prince is celebrated with a fun and heartfelt tribute performed by the Mistress of Musicality Muses at The Vortex. Enjoy an evening of nonstop performances from burlesque and aerial performers for a wild experience that likely would have gotten Prince’s stamp of approval. Performances through July 13.

Austin-Osita Sister City Committee presents Oita Japan Festival
Japanese culture is on display at the Asian American Resource Center. The Oita Japan Festival features Shodo-Japanese calligraphy, music and dance, Japanese drumming by Austin Taiko, authentic cuisine, kid-friendly activities, seminars, an artisan market, and more. Ciclo presents Bastille Day Lawn Party
Ciclo at Four Seasons Austin hosts a full day of activities paired with Veuve Clicquot’s finest bubbles in honor of Bastille Day. Guests can come early for a special brunch, complete with an expansive spread and dozens of dishes that pair perfectly with Champagne. As the day continues, highlights include live music, lawn games, and a luxuriously delicious dessert bar. Ciclo will also offer a special menu and exclusive savings on Clicquot Rosé and Yellow Label bubbly by the glass and bottle, to mark the festive fête.
Blanton Museum of Art presents Jeffrey Gibson: “This Is the Day” opening day
American painter Jeffrey Gibson's genre-bending work is on display at the Blanton Museum of Art's new exhibition, “This Is the Day.” Discover more than 50 pieces made during a four-year period, including beaded wall hangings, punching bags, ceramics, garments, paintings of canvas and rawhide, and a new video debut. Following its opening, the exhibit will be on display through September 29.
