The Sessions Inside Track
Self-dubbed piano rockers from Seattle: Exclusive new music from Barcelona
The last day at The Sessions Factory brought down the house in March, especially when Barcelona graced the stage as one of the final bands to be recorded. Safe from the outside SXSW madness, Barcelona performed their single “Evermore” for the admirers spread out across the room.
Based in Seattle, Washington, Barcelona was the concept of lead vocalist, Brian Fennell. Starting out as a solo project, Brian added on members Chris Bristol (guitar/vocals) and Rhett Stonelake (drums) during a 2005 tour.
With multiple albums under their belt, Barcelona is well on their way to solidifying a spot in music history. Not Quite Yours was released in May 2012 on the band’s own record label, NBD Music, after parting ways with Universal Records. Their song “Slipping Away” was featured on ABC Family’s Pretty Little Liars just this week!
On the last leg of their Summer tour, Barcelona has been updating fans on their blog and even posted a list of their top 10 moments on tour. They will be announcing a Fall 2012 tour soon so take a moment and educate yourselves on everything Barcelona here.
