The Sessions' Inside Tracks
Blues-rocker image and the voice to boot: Exclusive new music from Dan Dyer
Flying solo on stage, Dan Dyer sang his soulful little heart out to the packed house at The Hideout Theatre. Grabbing the attention from the get-go, Dyer owned the crowd and didn’t set anyone runnin’ for the door.
Dan Dyer started his musical career in Austin during the 90s as part of the band Breedlove. Venturing out solo after a few years, Dyer perfected his sound in New York City and released his debut record, Of What Lies Beneath, in 2004.
Luckily, Dyer migrated back home to Austin where he has become a staple in the blues/rock scene. Dyer’s shows perfectly display all of his songwriting prowess and raw, edgy vocals. In 2008, Dan’s sophomore self-titled release was named one of the top 10 local albums by The Austin Chronicle.
If you haven’t seen this man in all of his bearded glory, you can catch him at his weekly residency at The Continental Club Gallery every Thursday night. Peek at those and all of Dan Dyer’s other gigs here.
