Austin Artists Market presents Caliterra Art & Craft Show
Local artists and craftspeople bring their wares to The Hall at Caliterra for a celebration of makers. Featured arts and crafts include jewelry from Kathy and Guy Arnold, pottery from GrannyGoodfish, abstract art from Sally Fraser and Joyce Stephen, henna tattoos from Kelley Broadway, and fused glass art from Lindsay Foxx. Additional highlights include must-win door prices, music, and food to fuel your shopping throughout the day. Admission is free.
Austin Food & Wine Alliance and Rolling Roadshow present Val Kilmer Weekend: Tombstone and Top Gun
Legendary actor Val Kilmer comes to Austin for two once-in-a-lifetime movie events. J. Lorraine Ghost Town hosts an exclusive screening of blockbuster Western film Tombstone, while Camp Mabry plays classic action drama Top Gun on August 31 and September 1, respectively. Known for his iconic roles in both films, Kilmer will join in person for VIP meet-and-greets and more. Each screening will include food trucks and full bar access.
¡Eso Es! Latinx Music Texas Tour
Latinx stars take center stage at The Mohawk. ¡Eso Es!, Spanish for “that’s it,” is a unique showcase of talented performers. The mini-festival experience includes live shows by Neon Indian, Empress Of, La Goony Chonga, Bidi Bidi Banda, Luna Luna, and a set by a local DJ. All proceeds from the tour will benefit the families of those affected by the recent mass shooting in El Paso.
