Dream 2 Dream at The 13th Floor – Friday, January 19
Dream 2 Dream are getting their 2024 underway with a gig at the 13th Floor this Friday, January 19. The dreamy synth pop act will be joined by Swiss Banks, Glass Mansions, and Mass Minor. Tickets for this stacked show are just $10.44.
El Tule at Hotel Vegas – Saturday, January 20
After a good 20-year run, El Tule are set to call it quits. The band’s last show, which will also double as an album release party, is going down at Hotel Vegas’ Cumbia Night this Saturday, January 20. Parranderos De La Kumbia and DJ Pelón are also on the lineup. Tickets are $10.
Emily Wolfe at Antone’s – Thursday, January 25
Veteran rocker Emily Wolfe will play her first local show in more than a year at Antone’s on Thursday, January 25. The lineup also features two comedians, Mac Blake and Lisa Friedrich. Tickets are $20. On a related note, Wolfe put out a noteworthy album late last year titled The Blowback.
Moving Panoramas at Cheer Up Charlie’s – Friday, January 26
When it comes to free shows this month, you aren’t going to find a better one than this bash at Cheer Up Charlie’s on Friday, January 26. The bill is a big one that’s topped by longtime indie rockers Moving Panoramas and rounded out by Pussy Gillette, The Ghost Wolves, Lauren Lakis, and Lynzi.
The Juniper Berries at Hotel Vegas – Saturday, January 27
Ring in the release of a new single from The Juniper Berries at Hotel Vegas on Saturday, January 27. Lint!, Lady Dan, and Rusty Dusty will serve as support for the indie pop band. Tickets for the show are $10.
King Warbler at Captain Quackenbush’s Coffeehouse — Saturday, January 27
Get yourself to the Soundspace at Captain Quackenbush’s Coffeehouse on Saturday, January 27, to celebrate the release of Texas Sky, the new album from pop rockers King Warbler. The evening will also feature Batty Jr. and Abram Shook. Tickets are $10.
