Defining contemporary folk rock group Mumford & Sons have announced a tour stopping at Austin's Moody Center on October 24. The announcement on March 28 coincides with the release their fifth album, Rushmere.

The album is named for a pond in Wimbledon Common where the band formed the idea that became Mumford & Sons. A press release calls Rushmere "the beginning for Mumford & Sons’ next phase." The Associated Press calls the album "a satisfying contrast and a welcomed return" to more acoustic folk roots.

Rushmere features work from producer Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson) and a large selection of artists will provide support on the tour, including Japanese Breakfast, Lucius, Madison Cunningham, and more. The Austin date will feature folk and bluegrass singer-songwriter Sierra Ferrell as the opener.

Austin is the only Texas city on the tour.

A community presale via Agora starts Wednesday, April 2, at 10 am local time to the venue; fans must sign up for Agora by 11:59 pm on March 28. An artist presale starts April 3 at 10 am, with sign-ups ending April 2 at 11 am. General sales start Friday, April 4, via Ticketmaster.

Mumford & Sons are partnering with nonprofit funding platform PLUS1 to donate $1 from every ticket sold to War Child, an organization that advocates for children affected by war.
