Austin bull riding team partners with Tecovas ahead of 2023 PBR Teams season start
Local professional bull riding team the Austin Gamblers are partnering with Tecovas, Austin's favorite western-wear brand, for the upcoming PBR Teams season. The new sponsorship comes ahead of the 2023 season kickoff on July 24.
Tecovas' branding will be shown on the team's uniforms, and a merchandise collaboration is also in the works.
"When the Austin Gamblers were created in 2022, we immediately knew we wanted to partner with local brands and Tecovas was at the top of our list," said team CEO J.J. Gottsch in a press release. "The Austin Gamblers and Tecovas brands both share the same ideals, namely the desire to forge new frontiers through dedication to our craft and hard work."
The Austin Gamblers are one of two Texas-based teams in the PBR Teams league. The 2023 PBR Teams season kicks off in Cheyenne, Wyoming, on July 24 with the Gamblers facing the Kansas City Outlaws, followed by a second game on the 25th against the Missouri Thunder.
Following their August stints in Missouri, California, and Tennessee, the Gamblers will return to their home base for the second-annual Gambler Days at the Moody Center. They'll be up against the Kansas City Outlaws on August 25, their Fort Worth-based rivals the Texas Rattlers on the 26th, and Oklahoma Freedom on the 27th.
Tecovas will also serve as the presenting sponsor for the Gambler Days, alongside Dell Technologies, YETI, and more. Tecovas CEO David Lafitte shared his excitement for his company's partnership with the Austin-based team.
"As an Austin-based brand, we couldn't be more proud to support our local PBR team and be part of the excitement surrounding the Austin Gamblers," Lafitte said. "This partnership represents our shared commitment to the enduring spirit of the West and our passion to find partners who take risks while blazing new trails."
