1. 7 festivals take over Austin this weekend with music, food, and more. From April 24-27, at least seven notable festivals are vying for Austinites' attendance. 2. UT Austin tops U.S. News' 2025 list of best grad schools. Two Austin universities have climbed through the ranks in U.S. News & World Report’s recently released report of the best graduate schools nationwide for 2025. Several graduate programs also appeared among the top 10 in a Texas-wide comparison.
3. Comedian John Mulaney brings 2025 Mister Whatever tour to Austin. Comedian John Mulaney will return to the road on a new stand-up comedy tour, John Mulaney: Mister Whatever, which will stop at Austin's Bass Concert Hall in November.

4. Significantly fewer people moved to Austin in 2024, study says. While people certainly haven't stopped moving to Austin, the flow of newbies to Texas has slowed down significantly — including in the Capital City. That's according to real estate platform Redfin, which released a study based on U.S. census data detailing changes in net domestic migration.
5. Austin suburb emerges as top 10 best mid-size place to live in U.S. One Austin-area suburb has risen to the top on a new list of "the 100 Best Places to Live in 2025." The list — from relocation marketing platform Livability.com — put Round Rock at No. 10 for its appealing size and affordability.
