The 10th Annual OUTsider Fest
Queer transmedia art is having a moment with the return of the Outsider Fest at The Vortex. This year’s 10th annual festival will include four days of programming that highlights several artists and creators, and their work in performance art, film, theater, music, and dance. House of Torment presents Love Bites: A Valentine's Haunted House
Skip the chill night in and get your thrills with your boo at your side at the return of House of Torment’s Love Bites experience. Notable highlights include an interactive haunted maze, photo opportunities, and specialty food and beverage offerings. Guests can also choose from add-on activities like alternate ending options, access to a creepy selfie museum, and entry to the Neon Coffin Secret Bar for those 21 and up.
Grace Potter in concert
Rock musician Grace Potter performs live at ACL Live at The Moody Theater. The voice and brains behind feminine rocker anthems such as "Something That I Want" come to Austin in support of her new album, Mother Road. Matteo Lane: The Al Dente Tour
Comedian Matteo Lane taps Austin’s Bass Concert Hall as one of the stops along his national stand-up tour. Lane is known for his onstage moments with comedy heavyweights such as Chelsea Handler and Aziz Ansari and has also recently been named one of Variety’s Top Ten Comics to Watch. Zilker Botanical Garden presents Dino Days
Things are getting prehistoric at Zilker Botanical Garden with the start of the imaginative Dino Days activation. Visitors can traverse the garden grounds and discover vegetation and botanical wonders from the Cretaceous Period. Highlights include educational discussions, interactive activities, and immersive exhibits that are suitable for guests of all ages. Dino Days entry is included with garden admission. Following this weekend, Dino Days will be open through March 16.
Cold War Kids in concert
California rock band Cold War Kids come to Stubb's Bar-B-Q for a live show. The group known for top hits such as “First,” “We Use to Vacation,” and “What You Say” comes to Austin in support of their new, self-titled album.
