SXSW launches stylish marketplace showcasing favorite Austin brands
A new pop-up shopping experience showcasing some of Austin’s top brands makes its debut at SXSW. For three days, the Austin Convention Center transforms into SXSW Marketplace, a free, official SXSW event featuring more than 40 retailers from Austin and beyond.
"We're so proud of how well this came together and of all the amazing brands that will be here," Amy Wanke, SXSW director of sales and exhibition, says. "It's a great start to an event we plan to make a staple at SXSW for many years to come."
Attendees to the unique pop-up experience can shop cool clothing, jewelry, vintage finds, beauty products, and much more.
The marketplace’s inaugural selection of brands includes Austin’s own ARO, The Distillery, Texas Humor, Penny Luck, Elevé Cosmetics, and Nina Berenato Jewelry. In addition to homegrown brands, guests can browse shops from across the country. A variety of price points and inventory guarantee that even the thriftiest shopper can walk away with a bag full of goodies.
SXSW Marketplace is open March 16-18 inside the Austin Convention Center. The marketplace is free to all SXSW badgeholders, and the general public can attend with a SXSW Guest Pass. To browse a full list of marketplace vendors, visit the SXSW website.
