Austin jewelry designer dazzles North Austin with new brick-and-mortar store
After eight years hosting pop-ups and selling her collection from a vintage Airstream trailer on Barton Springs Road, Austin jewelry designer Nina Berenato has finally moved into a brick-and-mortar flagship.
Since launching Nina Berenato, the designer has developed a reputation for handcrafted jewelry (literally, she touches every piece) bold enough to be statement pieces yet delicate enough to be worn every day. Her new permanent shop at 3200 Palm Way, Ste. 152 in the Domain Northside sells the same pieces featured on the pages of Vogue and Cosmopolitan (and on celebs like Lady Gaga) from a modern, spacious showroom.
“Austin has embraced the Nina Berenato brand with open arms and I am so lucky to continue to reach more customers with our new permanent location,” said Nina Berenato in a release. “I want our new store to be a community where we celebrate women and all they are capable of.” Though she hosted a limited-time pop-up shop at the Domain from May 2017 to January of this year, this is the first permanent shop for the designer.
In an effort to foster that community, Berenato will also host monthly residencies spotlighting work from local female makers and artists. The space will double as a workshop hosting classes ranging from jewelry making to calligraphy.
Though the Domain Northside shop has already quietly opened, the designer will host an official launch event on May 4. If you can't possibly wait until May to see it in person, Nina Berenato is open Monday-Saturday from 10 am-8 pm and Sunday from 10 am-6 pm.
