New year, new look
Stylish Tarrytown boutique rolls out plans for high-end menswear shop
Estilo Austin, one of the city's most popular boutiques, is adding menswear to its high-end offerings. Estilo Men will open in Tarrytown's tony Casis Village on Friday, December 13, just steps away from the original.
Like its sister shop, Estilo Men offers clothing and accessories from luxury and ready-to-wear brands such as Ted Baker, John Varvatos, Theory, AG, and Rails, among others. Also like Estilo Austin, the new men's shop collection is curated by owner/stylist Stephanie Coultress-O’Neill.
In addition to selling clothes, Estilo Men is designed to be "an ideal masculine escape," where customers can snag haute goods while taking part in things like whiskey tastings and personal styling sessions.
The Estilo Men interiors vibe is similar to the original, with black and white walls accented by an industrial-style loft ceiling. It does skew a bit darker, with accents such as custom dark gray woodwork, marble furnishings and floors, and leather ottomans.
For more than 15 years, the original Estilo Austin has been a destination, thanks to Coultress-O’Neill's impeccable eye. Though Estilo originally carried men's goods, it stopped about three years ago. The new shop, says Coultress-O’Neill, is an opportunity to fill that hole in the market.
“I am thrilled to be launching Estilo Men," Coultress-O’Neill says in a release. "Our uniquely curated men’s collection served us and our customers well for 11 years in our downtown location. After a three-year hiatus, we are excited to be able to once again provide our expertise in men’s fashion to Central Austin.”
The new shop is marking its debut with a special grand opening celebration weekend December 13-15, with cocktails, personalized styling sessions, and complimentary shoe shines. Once open, Estilo Men will be open Monday through Friday, 8 am-6 pm; Saturday, 9 am-6 pm; and Sunday, 11 am-5pm.
