What She Said
W Hotels launches inspirational series for women everywhere — and it starts in Austin
The worlds of fashion, technology, and media collide in an inspiring new series for women everywhere. What She Said, a brand-new global speaker series, is holding its first event in Austin this Thursday.
Curated by W Hotels, the monthly event brings together successful women to share their personal stories and career paths with young professionals. Held at different W Hotels across the world, What She Said provides a place for women to come together to learn, exchange ideas, and connect.
The first event, held at W Austin downtown, is moderated by Julie Geer of interior design website Laurel & Wolf. The panel features three top players from Clique Media Group, a digital editorial company that creates lifestyle content on WhoWhatWear.com, Byrdie.com, and MyDomaine.com. CMG’s Courtney Wartman, vice president of marketing and business development; Alex Taylor, vice president of digital strategy and content and a Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree; and Elizabeth Conway, director of brand marketing and communications, will be on hand.
In conjunction with SXSW, this week’s What She Said will offer attendees the opportunity to mix and mingle at the W’s Living Room bar after the talk. As the first event in the series, this is only the beginning of something destined to make a worldwide impact.
All What She Said events are free and open to the public, and for those who cannot attend, every discussion will be recorded and available via podcast.
RSVP now for the Austin event, which takes place from 7 to 9 pm on Thursday, March 10, at W Austin.
