PanelPicker calling all inquiring minds: Have a say in what you want to see atSXSW
Didn't like what you saw at SXSW last year? Better yet, loved something and want to see more like it? Now's the time to speak up, because the deadline for final PanelPicker pitches is just around the corner on Friday, July 20.
What in the world is PanelPicker, you say? Good question: "The PanelPicker interface is an innovative online tool that allows the SXSW community to have a significant voice in programming Music, Film and Interactive conference activities through an open proposal and voting process."
Basically, it's a two step, online process to get your idea for a panel submitted and chosen. Step one: Submit your proposal here. Step two: Browse other proposals and vote on which ideas you think would be best for SXSW panels in Music, Film and Interactive. Voting will begin Monday, August 13.
Using PanelPicker is a great way to get involved with SXSW and have a voice in what kind of programming you'd like to see. "The core of SXSW's programming is to involve and engage the community with diverse and compelling content," says Roland Swenson, SXSW's Managing Director.
If you have more questions and would like to talk to SXSW staffers yourself, you're invited to the SXSW PanelPicker Meet Up on Monday, July 16 from 6 - 8 p.m. at Molotov. Don't be shy. Ask for what you want!
