Proper Austin Living
New luxury residences complete with boutique hotel slated for downtown
A new hub of downtown Austin living is slated for the 2nd Street District. Austin Proper, a 32-story hotel and residential project managed by Proper Hospitality, will open in 2017.
The project has some big names — local and international — on its side. Interiors will be designed by the acclaimed Kelly Wearstler. Austin-based McGuire Moorman Hospitality (Jeffrey's, Perla's) will be in charge of the dining options.
The Austin Proper project will feature a "world-class" 243-room hotel as well as 100 exclusive residences. "Austin Proper Residences," explains a press release, "combine the benefits of home ownership with the energy, style, services and privileges of a boutique luxury hotel."
For those interested in living the luxe downtown lifestyle, Austin Proper will offer one- to three-bedroom residences ranging from 850 to 2,800 square feet. Penthouses (up to 6,500 square feet) will also be available. Rooftop decks with swimming pools, a coffee shop and a poolside restaurant are among the featured amenities for residents.
"Uniquely positioned in the hub of the burgeoning downtown market, Austin Proper Residences combine the celebrated design of global tastemaker Kelly Wearstler, the transcendent service of a boutique luxury hotel, and the inventive culinary craft of McGuire Moorman Hospitality," said Brian De Lowe, president and co-founder of Proper Hospitality and partner at The Kor Group, in the release.
"We are committed to building long-term value and one-of-a-kind amenities scaled specifically to the distinctive culture and soul of Austin."
Residential sales for the new project start in August 2015. A priority interest list for potential buyers is available now on the Austin Proper website.
