“The area is home to many trendy restaurants, bars, and coffee shops,” says Twal and he has a full list of ideas, no matter what you’re craving:

Where to play
“Mueller!” says Twal without hesitation, referencing the mixed-use community that boasts thoughtfully designed parks and open spaces. “Don’t forget to check out the Texas Farmers Market on Sundays.”
He also suggests taking a stroll or renting a bike on the Lady Bird Lake Hike & Bike Trail on the East side.
What to see
Boggy Creek Farm tops the list of Twal’s hidden gems. It’s a “charming urban farm” that offers local produce and farm tours.
East Austin is also home to a thriving arts and cultural scene, with numerous galleries, music venues, and theaters.
Where to live
“The area's diverse mix of architecture, including renovated historic homes, charming bungalows, modern apartments, sleek condos, and contemporary homes, offers something for everyone,” says Twal. “With all the new construction, reconstruction, residential, and commercial development happening here daily, more people are moving to East Austin now than ever before.”
