Gourmet By Numbers

At long last, there’s help for Austinites who have to think up dinner on the fly all too often. Gourmet By Numbers is a unique meal-kit delivery service curated by top local guest chefs and nutritionists.

Whether you’re looking to expand your palate with whole foods, or you want to keep your family fed with creative and delicious home-cooked meals without the hassle, Gourmet By Numbers is the dinner hack you need. It’s ideal for anyone, from a young professional looking to eat fresh without the fuss to a working mom of three — and everyone in between.

The brainchild of Austinite Heather Amalaha, Gourmet By Numbers puts together meals that are easy to make and healthy to eat. The grassroots meal service, filled with Austin pride, is committed to providing local ingredients at the season’s peak freshness.

Frantic, after-work trips to the grocery store are over. To add to the incredible ease of the cooking experience, each meal kit is prepped, packaged, and hand-delivered to your door in a business day. Meal kits arrive in recyclable and temperature-controlled packaging, locking in your meal’s freshness.

Unlike some national meal-kit companies, Gourmet By Numbers preps all of the ingredients and minimizes food waste through accurate portion control. “It’s pretty much like having your own personal sous chef on call,” says Mary Scala, chief marketing officer.

“The major thing is that we have a brick-and-mortar in Austin, and that’s where your meals are prepared. Your meal is prepped in Austin by Austinites with local, organic ingredients whenever possible.”

Have a food allergy or dietary restriction? Gourmet By Numbers recipes are customizable, giving you the most nutritious and tasty meal possible. Recipes are easy to follow and come with detailed instructions, so you can whip up dinner in 30 minutes or less.

The Gourmet By Numbers menu changes monthly, and meals are curated by some of the culinary industry’s top talent and nutritionists. This month, guest chef John Jurey of 416 Bar & Grille joins the team.

Ready to start cooking at home like a pro? Purchase a meal kit one time for $12.50 for a single serving, $25 for two servings, or $40 for a family serving of four. Weekly subscriptions also are available: $35 for a single serving, $70 for two servings, or $110 for a family serving of four. Sign up now and get your first week 50 percent off.

Prefer to pick up? Grab your meals from the Gourmet By Numbers storefront at 7318 McNeil Dr. Start cooking smarter, not harder.

Follow Gourmet by Numbers on Facebook, Instagram, and Pinterest, or stay updated on foodie knowledge on the Gourmet By Numbers blog, Gourmet Life.
