FOOD IS GOOD
The Austin Food Blogger Alliance provide relief for SXSW visitors with Austin's 2012 City Guide
This week, people from all around the world will flood Austin for a little thing that goes on around town called SXSW. Now there is obviously going to be plenty to do, but how will our visitors be able to take advantage of Austin’s diverse food scene in just a week?
Well, the Austin Food Blogger Alliance has an answer for that with their 2012 Austin City Guide. The guide, created in 2010, is designed to help SXSW-goers navigate through the eclectic mix of food and drinks that Austin has to offer.
Additionally, the AFBA surveyed their members earlier in the year to figure out their top favorite spots and those results were released earlier this week to help supplement the 2012 City Guide.
53 bloggers filled out the 43 category survey with their favorite places around Austin for a chance to be chosen as a judge for The Taco Experiment contest during SXSW.
The results highlighted Contigo and Uchiko in six categories while Foreign & Domestic, La Condesa and Uchi are seen in four categories.
Bar Congress took the title in the “New Bar/Lounge” category, Peached Tortilla in the “New Trailer” category and both Contigo and Kome tied for Favorite New Restaurant.
You can view the full results as well as the 2012 City Guide at the AFBA website.
So what do you think? Did the Austin’s bloggers get it right with their favorite places and city guide?
