Out of Bounds Comedy
Play with your food: Paul Qui telling chef stories at Out of Bounds' StoolPigeon
Austin celebrity chef Paul Qui has been all over the map this year.
Since winning Bravo's latest season of Top Chef, the loveable James Beard Award winner has been traveling the world, gaining tasty inspirations for his upcoming East Austin restaurant and two additional East Side King locations.
And now he's ready to share some of his stories (of Tyson Cole! And Tom Colicchio! And Bev!) with us in a delightfully unexpected format.
Qui has signed up to be the guest monologist (the stand-alone storyteller) in a very special edition of Stool Pigeon — the improv comedy show based on prompts from a person's real life stories — at the 2012 Out of Bounds Comedy Festival on Saturday, September 1.
Stool Pigeon at OOB is always a can't-miss endeavor due to the collection of superstar improv players in the cast who reinterpret the stories they hear from the celebrity storyteller.
This year, 30 Rock's Scott Adsit and John Lutz will appear alongside Aphasia's Jeff Griggs and Brett Lyons, Huge Theater's Jill Bernard and Meghan Wolff and My Manns' Mark Raterman and Tim Robinson among others.
This is maybe the most exciting example of two of our favorite worlds colliding into one impossibly satisfying meal. We can't guarantee it, but it's 90 percent likely you will explode from laughter.
Don't miss out on this one-time-only opportunity to see the Top Chef champ being adorable in person and dishing on the people you will never in a million years get to meet in person. (He knows Padma!)
