Neighborhood eats are headed to up-and-coming Airport Boulevard next week with the anticipated opening of Bullfight. The newest concept from Chef Shawn Cirkiel of Parkside, Backspace, and Olive & June is slated to open Tuesday, September 8.
Inspired by Cirkiel's "love affair" with Spain, the friendly neighborhood spot will serve "thoughtfully modernized Spanish classics" in a fresh, inviting space. Executive Chef Ryan Shields will helm the kitchen.
Expect a menu chock-full of "attention-getting food," from cured meats and cheese plates to snacks and classic dishes. Among the heartier offerings: seafood paella with clams, chorizo, shrimp, and saffron and fried potatoes with bravas sauce; grilled octopus with pickled carrot, fennel, and radish and monkfish with potatoes, garlic, and olive oil; and lamb burgers with yoghurt and mint.
The Michael Hsu-designed space can accommodate around 100 guests. Bullfight will open nightly at 5 pm starting September 8. Look for brunch in the near future.
