Austin hospitality group opens hot new online shop
We’ve all been tempted. McGuire Moorman Hospitality restaurants are filled with such beautiful objects that a little light larceny can seem appealing. But we beg you not to risk seeing your mugshot in one of those gas station magazines — especially now that MMH gear is available online.
It's part of the launch of a new website that is a one-stop shop for all things MMH — the Austin force behind Perla’s, Lambert’s, Clarks Oyster Bar, Josephine House, Elizabeth Street Cafe, June’s All Day, and Jeffrey’s, as well as the By George stores and the Austin Proper Residences. Need to make reservations for a romantic meal? Order catering for your next shindig? Or curate uniforms for the boutique hotel you bought in Liberty Hill? The site will hook you up.
But as the holidays approach, the online store offers gifts for every member of the family, as long as your family is really into Austin restaurants. Chief on our list are the June’s All Day candles — scented with a bespoke blend of bergamot, cassis, anise, daffodil, and tonka — by hip Los Angeles makers Boy Smells and Clark’s Oyster Bar '80s country club chic handkerchiefs from artist Hamish Robertson’s Vacation Days studio.
There are plenty of other goodies too — the recently published Elizabeth Street Cafe cookbook from Phaidon, Ebbets Field Flannels vintage-look ballcaps, the Billykirk leather coasters used at Lambert’s, tees, and caps from MMH’s collaboration with uber-cool athleisure line Outdoor Voices.
Sadly, the chic floral dresses used as uniforms at Elizabeth Street Cafe are not available. Maybe someone should start an email campaign for that.
