Downtown cocktail mainstay Péché is expanding its footprint in 2015 with a new devilish concept. On Wednesday, the restaurant announced that it will take over the former Pleasant Storage Room space, conveniently located next door to Péché .
Earlier this week, news broke that rum bar Pleasant Storage Room would close its doors amid a management shuffle. Taking a cue from Pleasant Storage Room, the new concept, Old Kill Devil, will feature island-inspired food and rum drinks. But unlike its former inhabitant, Old Kill Devil will feature a full menu of big plates including appetizers, salads, entrees and desserts.
According to a press release, Péché owner and founder Rob Pate will oversee the operation, with general manager Trey Jenkins curating the bar program and executive chef John Lichtenberger in the kitchen. "We’re looking forward to bringing our own take on island drink and fare to downtown," said Pate. Old Kill Devil is slated to open in March 2015.
