Florals
5 fabulous Austin floral designers for weddings, engagements, and more
When it comes to weddings, my floral designer mother always insists that the flowers are the most important part of the day. She may be biased because she, you know, worked in florals, but they do set the tone for the occasion. When done well, florals create an ambiance for the entire event. When done poorly, they go unnoticed — or worse — are so out of place they actually distract from the day.
With Austin and the Texas Hill Country among the top wedding destinations in the country, there is no shortage of floral designers in the area. But who can you trust to make your day even better? These five companies, all of which are locally owned and operated, bring the kind of artistry, craftmanship, and creativity to their work that will make your event even more special.
The Bloom Bar
This sweet studio is tucked away in San Marcos, which allows the team to service weddings in Austin, Wimberley, the Hill Country, and San Antonio (though the Bloom Bar will travel anywhere in Texas). Bloom Bar's romantic, expansive designs blend perfectly to almost any occasion or event. Speaking of events, the Bloom Bar hosts terrarium and flower crown workshops in Austin for those eager to begin their own journey into floral design. Custom wedding design begins at $2,500.
Bricolage Curated Florals
When owner Samantha McCrary opened her east side shop in January, we couldn't wait. Finally, we could snatch up the same floral arrangements we've been drooling over at places like Contigo and Houndstooth for years. What makes Bricolage so special is the arrangements look both wild and chic, creating a truly one-of-a-kind feel. Wedding personals begin at $1,000 while full custom design begins at $6,000.
Clementine Botanical Art
Whether it's a simple yet elegant bouquet, or a massive spray tucked away in a tree, Clementine crafts earthy, romantic designs. Owner and designer Christin Armstrong combines her background in communication design and love of nature to craft truly memorable moments. Pricing available upon request.
Transplants
Where do we even begin? Owner Antonio Bond doesn't just create floral arrangements, he crafts jaw-dropping pieces of art. Using found art, sculpture, and natural elements, Bond's work makes any occasion, wedding or otherwise, a memorable affair. Pricing available upon request.
Stems Floral Design + Production
For more than a decade, Stems has built a reputation for doing it all. Led by owner Abby Daigle and her husband, Corey Daigle, the Stems designers craft arrangements based on modern, classic, bohemian, Hill Country, or romantic styles. Outside of weddings, the company also works in floral production, providing florals for corporate events, as well as large scale installations. Pricing available on request.
