Nothing tugs at your heartstrings quite like an adorable cuddly pet in need of help. Sunday night images of all the pets Animal Trustees of Austin has helped over the years not only tugged at hearts but opened wallets at Petcasso, the non-profit's annual Spring art gala.
The sixth annual dinner and fundraiser, held at the AT&T Education and Conference Center, raised money for all the services Animal Trustees offers, including two veterinary clinics, which provide affordable health care for Austin's neediest animals, and free care for animals of the homeless.
The live auction featured paintings created by animal artists (literally paws on canvas) and their owners.
More than 85% of the total proceeds will go directly to serve animals in need, including the Animal Trustees Emergency Care Fund.
