In its first season, Sound & Cinema has made a lasting impression on the summer social scene. The bimonthly pairing of local music and a classic flick on the Long Center lawn has become another staple on the list of must-do Austin activities.
On Wednesday night, locals gathered for a screening of family-friendly film School of Rock projected on the Alamo Drafthouse's Rolling Roadshow inflatable screen. Before the credits started rolling, guests enjoyed Will Taylor & Strings Attached performing Led Zeppelin tunes.
There are still three more installments left in the inaugural Sound & Cinema Season. The fun returns on August 14 with Flash Gordon, followed by Jurassic Park on August 21, and Back to the Future on August 28.
