The busiest weekend in Austin came to a close Sunday night with a free concert at the Long Center for the Performing Arts.
The concert, the second in a three part Long Center City Terrace Concert Series, showcased both The Redd Volkaert Band and Austin-based Marshall Ford Swing Band. Hundreds came out, with snacks and lawn chairs in tow, to enjoy and dance to the live blues and western swing beats.
The series is underwritten by members of the Long Center Concert Club. The third and final concert will feature the Starlight Symphony of Austin on April 13, 2012.
