Leander football player charged with sexual assault
KVUE — Police have arrested an all-district Leander football player after they say a 4-year-old boy made claims he was sexually assaulted. According to an arrest affidavit, in July the alleged victim told his mother that Greg Kelley was inappropriate with the boy on two occasions.
In a police forensics interview on July 23, the boy made the same claims, according to police.
Kelley announced on June 7 he was verbally committed to play a safety position for the football program at the University of Texas San Antonio, according to the Austin-American Statesman. The class of 2014 Leander football player also had offers to Texas State and Rice University.
