Marfa Made Easier

Nonstop flights from Austin to Big Bend scheduled to take off in March

Want to escape to a minimalist West Texas oasis without the day-long road trip? Starting in March, Dallas-based Resort Air Services will fly nonstop from Austin to Big Bend, reports the Austin Business Journal.

The private charter company will fly out of the Austin Executive Airport and land at Lajitas International Airport, roughly 120 miles from Marfa. Flights on the 30-seat twin-engine jet, operated by Ultimate Jet Charters, will cost approximately $400 round trip for adults and $99 for children, says ABJ.

Resort Air Services currently operates a route from Dallas to Big Bend multiple times a week. At the end of February, the company will add service from Houston to Big Bend. Austin service begins on March 2.
