Luxury glamping retreat sets up camp in the Hill Country with 22 new tents
Just in time for star-gazers and eclipse-chasers, outdoor travel company Outdoorsy has announced the opening of its newest luxury glamping retreat, Outdoorsy Hill Country. Situated in the heart of the scenic Texas Hill Country near Fredericksburg, the retreat aims to provide an "iconic" destination for nature- and comfort-loving travelers.
Outdoorsy Hill Country features 22 all-season canvas tents across 32 acres. The property also includes a cafe, bar, country store, events lodge, and hiking trails. It joins the company's existing Yosemite and Bayfield retreats as it continues expanding its nature-focused glamping destinations across the US.
"Our vision was to create an iconic destination that fuses rustic charm, immersive outdoor experiences, and refined Hill Country hospitality for thoughtful travelers from Texas and beyond," said Outdoorsy CEO Jeff Cavins in a press release. "Outdoorsy Hill Country is a memorable slowcation destination that blends contemporary comforts with the allure of Texas' natural beauty."
The spacious tents will offer climate control, private bathrooms, kitchenettes and mini bars. Onsite activities include paddle boarding, live music and Texas wine tastings. The retreat aims to serve as a home base for regional outdoor recreation, wineries, dining and historic sites.
It's situated along the scenic Texas Wine Trail — not a physical trail, but a large concentration of wineries in the area. It’s situated close to historic sites, boutiques, galleries, restaurants. Enchanted Rock State Natural Area, known for hiking and rock climbing, is a short drive away. Whether taking in the small town charm of Fredericksburg, exploring the bountiful wineries along the Texas Wine Trail, or taking a scenic drive through the Hill Country, the retreat provides easy access to the best of the region.
"We fell in love with the Hill Country when we built a glamping tent for ourselves," said Outdoorsy co-founder and CMO Jen Young. "We couldn't be more delighted to share this space with guests who are seeking out the restoration that time in nature provides."
