1. 5 Austin neighbors named among best small cities to live in America. Cedar Park, Leander, and more Austin suburbs have been rated among the best small cities in America for 2026.

2. Michelin adds 3 Austin restaurants to 2026 guide. Austin's two new one-star restaurants are plant-based fine-dining restaurant Fabrik and the new hotel restaurant Kappo Kappo, which combines Japanese cuisine and French technique. A third restaurant gets a new recommendation.

3. ACL Fest contract determines who pays for damage to park after rain. According to a contract between the city of Austin’s Parks and Recreation Department and C3 Presents, the organizer of ACL, C3 is responsible for restoring damage to Zilker Park after the festival.

4. Lauded Austin estate restaurant Lutie's debuts new head chef and menu. Commodore Perry Estate's signature restaurant has a new executive chef, Jakub Czyszczon. His revamped offerings mark a new chapter of approachability for diners.

5. New crop of 10 Austin legacy businesses star in monthlong passport tour. The annual passport program features 10 locally owned businesses that have been operating for at least 20 years. Passport holders can visit participating businesses, make a purchase, collect a stamp, and enter to win prizes.
