Burnet Road is turning into quite the taco destination. Along with Tacodeli, Taco Shack, and Torchy's Tacos, a new joint has taken root: El Chilito's first location outside of East Austin is now open on Burnet Road near The Aristocrat Lounge.

El Chilito is brought to you by the team behind El Chile Cafe y Cantina, El Alma, El Sapo, and Alcomar. Like the El Chilitos before it, this new spot is slinging scrumptious tacos and burritos, all-day breakfast, fresh coffee, and aguas frescas.

The Burnet Road location, which opened quietly last Sunday, is gearing up for a grand opening celebration on Cinco de Mayo. El Chilito will serve crispy pork tacos, chilled watermelon, and beer during a pig roast helmed by Chef Felipe Guarcas. Between 6 and 8 pm, Austinites are invited to enjoy all of that with a side of tunes from DJ Boyfriends.

El Chilito joins a slew of other trendy Austin restaurants that recently relocated or opened new locales on Burnet Road, including Barley Swine, Lick Ice Creams, and Bufalina Due. This is the taco joint's third location, with a fourth coming to South Austin on Manchaca Road later in 2016.
