Australia's Laneway Festival rocks SXSW with signature day party at Holy Mountain
Once again, Australia's Laneway Festival brought a talented lineup of promising acts to SXSW for a much anticipated daytime party.
On Saturday, Holy Mountain provided the perfect backdrop for the fourth annual event, which featured performances from some of the most anticipated electronic and punk acts of the festival.
Crowds braved the rainy morning weather for a sneak peek at what are sure to be some of SXSW's biggest breakthrough artists. (Last year, Laneway Festival's SXSW lineup included performances by CHVRCHES and Parquet Courts). They were rewarded with a sunny afternoon and unparalleled performances by an eclectic lineup.
Guests at the free event rocked out to Eagulls, Fat White Family, Forest Swords, Glass Animals, Perfect Pussy, Sohn, Tourist and more. The event serves as a stateside teaser for Laneway Festival, a series of boutique festivals centered around new and revered seminal music, which was established in Australia in 2004.
