Austin's favorite hostess pulls out all the stops for dreamy cocktail party
Uber party hostess and founder of The Salonniere, Carla McDonaldrecently opened her home in Westlake to introduce Houston fine bed linens designer Karen Pulaski during an afternoon of cocktails, socializing, and raising funds for Zach Theatre’s community outreach and education programs.
As one might expect of the woman whose mantra is "I feel a party coming on," McDonald pulled out the stops for introduction of the Tribute Goods line to her friends.
The dream-themed cocktail party was replete with McDonald's creative touches, including gin and lavender cocktails called The Bed Head; hors d’oeuvres with lavender, chamomile, and honey touches; and mini-servings of warm chocolate-chip cookies and milk.
The highlight of the gathering, in addition to the trunk show of beautiful bed linens, was Jungian dream analyst Katya Walter, who interpreted each of the guests' most memorable dream.
Among those perusing the collection of Italian linens were Gemma Cunningham, Eve Michaels, Brooks Franklin, Diana Dobson, Cassie Hart, Terry Quinn, Mary Tally, Maria Groten, Melissa Adams, and Deanna Altenhoff.
