Paddleboarders take to Lake Austin for fifth annual Tyler's Dam That Cancer
What: The Flatwater Foundation "Tyler's Dam That Cancer" fundraiser.

The lowdown: Stand-up paddleboarders took to the waters of Lake Austin on Monday, June 9 to paddle a 21-mile marathon between Mansfield Dam and Tom Miller Dam. This is the fifth year of The Flatwater Foundation's premiere fundraising event. Tyler's Dam That Cancer was created by Mark Garza and Rob McKinnie to provide cancer patients and their families with access to mental health therapy and support.
Paddleboarding participants and guests partied the afternoon away at Hula Hut, enjoying live music from The Roosevelts and DJ Kid Slyce along with food and drinks. Tyler's of Austin gifted a check of $41,000, representing the company's ongoing support for The Flatwater Foundation's efforts. The fundraiser brought in more than $250,000 by the end of the day.
