Palatial multimillion-dollar Hill Country estate hits the auction block
A lakeside estate at Horseshoe Bay that had been listed for $6.75 million is going up for auction in mid-December.
Starting December 13, Concierge Auctions will accept online bids for the property, which is roughly 60 miles northwest of Austin. The 1.7-acre estate is being sold “without reserve,” meaning the highest bidder will win, no matter what the price is.
Marketing materials for 312 Wennmohs Pl. describe the property as “one of the most intriguing estates on Lake LBJ.” The estate has been for sale since at least October 2015, when the asking price was nearly $7 million. The price dropped to $6.75 million in March 2017.
The 11,104-square-foot getaway, built in the late 1990s, features seven bedrooms, seven full bathrooms, and three half-bathrooms. Among the amenities are:
- More than 570 feet of lake frontage
- A resort-style, infinity-edge pool
- A media room
- A billiards room
- A library
- A four-car garage
- Floor-to-ceiling bay windows
- A racquetball court/yoga and dance studio
“Nestled in one of Texas’ most prestigious communities, Horseshoe Bay, this property is the perfect blend of secluded lake getaway and five-star luxury,” according to marketing materials.
Tammie Bennett of Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty in San Antonio is the listing agent. Dean Poole of Concierge Auctions is managing the auction.
The Wennmohs Place estate isn’t the only high-dollar Horseshoe Bay property that’s on the market.
In July, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, a millionaire member of President Trump’s administration, and wife, Renda, listed their Horseshoe Bay vacation home for almost $4 million. The nearly 5,900-square-foot property features four bedrooms, four full bathrooms, and three half-bathrooms.
